Its deep amethyst tone was achieved through later irradiation of clear glass originally decolorized with manganese dioxide. The piece shows a natural air bubble in the floor of the bowl, formed during manufacture, typical of early pressed glass. Approximately 6 inches tall with excellent clarity and craftsmanship throughout. The foot is approximately 3.25". See less
