The proportions and … Read more Charming antique American redware whiskey jug, entirely hand-thrown with a warm iron-oxide glaze and classic ovoid body. The proportions and surface have that unmistakable primitive elegance — simple, honest, and beautifully balanced.

Condition:
Excellent body overall with rich original glaze. There’s a small chip to the handle, a minor popped glaze bubble, and a darkened area where the glaze blistered during firing — all typical of early handmade redware and part of its authentic character. Light surface scuffs only; no cracks or repairs. Displays beautifully from every angle.
