A spectacular original 1970 Andre coffee table designed by Tobia Scarpa for Gavina/Knoll. Original 54” - 3/4” thick Heavy plate glass top over chrome & steel 4 legged base 45” square. Also retaining Original leather padded insert still intact on top under glass. Gavina label still intact. Just acquired from original estate who purchase it. Excellent overall condition. No chips or scratches.
Tobia Scarpa, an influential Italian architect and designer, is renowned for his timeless contributions to modern design. Born in 1935, Scarpa emerged from the legacy of his father, Carlo Scarpa, inheriting a deep understanding of craft and architectural detail.
