Elegant early-20th-century Japanese lacquer tana with two shelves, finished in deep black urushi. The plinth features a refined aogai-chirashi scatter, with crisp raden accents at the corners for a subtle, luminous effect.
A restrained, luxurious piece—ideal for presenting ceramics, tea utensils, or small objects.
Dimensions: height 71 cm, width 66 cm, depth 36 cm.
In good, authentic condition with age patina: minor lacquer losses and edge wear (see photos).
The piece embodies a wabi-sabi sensibility—quietness, simplicity, and material poetry.
A timeless accent for a living room, tokonoma, or gallery; pairs beautifully with porcelain, ikebana, plants, or contemporary ceramics.
