The chair was designed by Illum Wikkelsø in the 1960s by the long-established furniture manufacturer Eilersen, which was founded back in 1895.

The chair is made of elm with a very beautiful grain that truly combines aesthetics with function. The delicate and well-thought-out design offers very good seating comfort with the perfect angle between the backrest and seat, and allows you to sit comfortably for longer periods. The beautiful shape from armrest to backrest, which elegantly connects with the characteristic grain of the wood, is made with the innovative technique called "steam bending." The method, which founder Niels Eilersen was the first to introduce in Denmark, provides not only an aesthetically pleasing shape, but also strength and durability. The contours of the chair are carefully designed to highlight both the natural beauty of the wood and the design behind the creation of the furniture.

The legs are round and coil-shaped, which reinforces the high quality of the chair.
