This piece is … Read more Absolutely exqusite, highly collectable mid century modern, cassina lc1 le corbusier pony hide armchair with chrome frame. This piece is a very unique, collectors example, dating to the late 1960's to early 1970's, it comes with the original hide, springs and works perfectly. Its quite a small chair however seats very well, i'm 6'4 and found it very comfortable, the back rest is on hinges which at the time was a revolutionary design, it adjusts to your position the lc1 chair is a classic piece of modern design from 1928. Behind the design is a team of three designers: le corbusier, his cousin pierre jeanneret and french architect charlotte perriand. The sleek steel frame and a high-quality leather seat and back of lc1 create a sophisticated silhouette that invites you to sit back. The lightweight chair suits various different spaces and brings a new edge to your interior. The lc1 chair is part of the lc series, which is a collection of iconic furniture designed by a swiss-french architect and designer le corbusier. The lc1 chair is included in the design collection of the museum of modern art.
