ANTIQUE REDWARE BOWL / DISH LATE 18TH / EARLY 19TH CENTURY
DIMENSIONS About 1 3/4" deep x 6 1/4" diameter.
DESCRIPTION Wonderful redware bowl / dish in dark caramel variegated speckled glaze. Likely New England or mid-Atlantic origin. Thickened rim. Fully glazed interior, while the outer surface shows some blackening from years of domestic and fireplace use.
CONDITION Overall excellent. No cracks or dings. One small rim chip. (all visible in the images). A RARE AND EARLY 18TH OR 19TH CENTURY GLAZED AMERICAN SOUP OR SERVING BOWL.
