A charming mid-century pair of hand-painted metal cherubs, each depicted in flight and sounding a trumpet. These decorative wall figures feature beautifully burnished metallic finishes — with emerald-teal garments, golden wings, and deep ruby and sapphire hair accents that shimmer under light. Their softly aged patina lends a touch of warmth and authenticity, giving them an appealing vintage character. This pair part of a larger collection purchased through a Santa Barbara California estate.

Both figures retain vivid … moreThis charming vintage pair of hand-painted metal cherubs shows age-appropriate wear consistent with time and handling. Both figures retain vivid coloration in the gilt wings, jewel-toned garments, and hair, with surface patina that enhances their vintage appeal. The finish shows oxidation, subtle scuffing, rust marks as seen in photos and a few small areas of paint loss typical of older metalwork. These were possibly used outside for holiday celebrations, etc. so there is able rust marks. Please see all photos. Each cherub remains structurally sound, with secure trumpet details and original hanging loops intact on the reverse. The overall presentation is clean, stable, and beautifully preserved — a well-cared-for set that displays wonderfully whether hung or laid flat for display photography. less
