Exceptional antique stoneware storage jar by the Peoria Pottery Company, dating from approximately 1864–1902.
This substantial, hand-thrown vessel stands 15 inches tall × 10 inches in diameter, showcasing a rich, deep brown Albany-type glaze with subtle double incised shoulder rings and smooth wheel-turned lines.
A superb example of 19th-century American utilitarian pottery, this jar reflects both craftsmanship and endurance — originally used for preserving dry goods or pickles, it now makes a striking decorative accent for modern, rustic, or farmhouse interiors.
