The frame is adorned with finely repoussé decorations of scrolls, foliage, fruits, and flowers, typical of the Second Empire period. The upper section is crowned with an openwork floral basket motif, adding sophistication and vertical balance to the design.

This mirror features multiple beveled parcloses surrounding the central plate glass, all displaying subtle aging and light foxing consistent with its antique character.
The original gilding has developed a warm patina, highlighting the intricate relief work and giving the piece an authentic charm.

A small loss to the brass ornamentation (visible in the detailed photos) does not detract from its beauty or structural integrity.
