The design appears … Read more An antique rare Baccarat Louis XVI–style crystal service hand-blown, engraved and fire-gilded with neoclassical garlands and bows. The design appears in Baccarat’s firm 1916 catalogue under models 11582 and 7776, where this pattern is recorded as part of the mousseline crystal service. Although these examples are unmarked, Baccarat glassware from this Belle Époque period was often sold without etched marks, as the acid-etched logo was introduced only in the 1930s.

Each bowl is hand-blown in exceptionally light mousseline crystal and decorated with engraved and fire-gilded neoclassical garlands and bows. The form, weight, and decoration correspond precisely to the documented pattern, reflecting Baccarat’s refined craftsmanship and technical mastery.

Made in Baccarat’s exceptionally fine “mousseline” crystal — hand-blown glass as light and translucent as muslin, a hallmark of their Belle Époque craftsmanship.

Each piece displays Baccarat’s signature lightness and clarity, with polished pontil bases and delicately draped gilt swags around the rim. A matching Baccarat mousseline crystal decanter and bowls in the same Louis XVI pattern are also available separately through our collection. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
