This superb lustre, designed by Gio Ponti for Fontana Arte in 1938, is a variation of the "Padelle" lustre debuted in the 1930s. It consists of a large flat glass disc integrated with a rounded opaline glass element, illustrating Ponti's attention to the harmony between surfaces, space, and light.
