I found these chairs in … Read more This pair of restored European style Art Deco club chairs embodies comfort, style, and sophistication. I found these chairs in an antique store in Hudson, New York. They were in great shape but given that they were most likely from the 1940's needed to be reupholstered. Fully reupholstered these chairs feature a striking two fabric design with teal chenille fabric for the upholstered back, seat cushion and arms and teal velvet for the sides of the arms and the welting. The combination captures the Art Deco era with a rich luxurious look and comfortable feel.
The chair design emphasizes both form and function, with a block-like silhouette that exudes Art Deco modernism while retaining timeless comfort. I have loved them ever since and they were in my living room by the fireplace for years and then moved to a study. I have now updated the study and no longer can use them. They are extremely comfortable to sink into to read, chat or stare at a fire or watch TV.
Perfect for placement in a living room, office, library, or den/study at home, these chairs deliver an unmatched level of visual impact and seating comfort.
