This is an awesome vintage toddler rocker that has added felt on the bottom to protect the floor. The sides show a beautifully painted swan in earth tone colors.
It is very heavy wood, well made and sturdy. This could be used as a swan decoration or for intended use. It has a seat with a double thick canvas strap for the leg placement and a small tray in the front to hold and place toys. There is a foot stool that is angled slightly upward and the backrest is angled slightly backward. It has minimal capacity to rock, as designed, and would not rock over.
I do not know the exact age or history of this swan, but believe it to be much older than Midcentury Modern. My guess is the 1930’s or 1940’s.
