This abstract composition features layered paper, natural fibers, vintage text fragments, and botanical elements including two dried flowers, creating a delicate and organic visual rhythm. The artist's restrained use of color, soft creams, pale browns, and faint blue and black type gives the work a timeless, neutral tone with poetic depth. I picked these up at Scott Antique show in Atlanta in October and they are so cool. I bought two and have them in separate listings. I could not believe they were from the 1960s!
Executed on a textured ground with carefully arranged ephemera and gestural paintwork, the piece has a subtle yet sophisticated presence, ideal for vintage-modern interiors. The work is part of a small known body of mixed media art attributed to Sabra, believed to have been active in Connecticut in the 1960s and 1970s. Outside this piece measures 25 5/8 x 19 3/4". On the inside it measures 23 1/2" x 17 5/8". Depth is 1 1/4". See less
