Originally purchased for 1 of the Rothenberg homes … Read more Beautiful solid cherry dining table plus 6 chairs and 2 captains chairs. Originally purchased for 1 of the Rothenberg homes in Napoleon, Ohio, this set was purchased by the original owner in late 1909 from the Phoenix Furniture Co of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Purchased from the estate of the lone child of the Rothenbergs in 1989, this table and chairs have been lovingly cared for ever since. Always used with the original felt pads (horse hair). the table still shows a few nicks and scratches but otherwise is still solid and beautiful. Comes with 2 original leafs. Chairs are solid and in very fine shape. Pedestal is solid with but a few nicks along the four legs.
60 inch circle at its smallest, each leaf with add 12 inches to its length. Tabletop is 30 inches tall. Chairs are 18 inches tall seat level, average 17 inches wide and chair backs are 38 1/2 inches tall.
A true classic antique that no longer fits our needs but is looking for a fine home that will appreciate its classic style.
Wood is solid cherry with a cherry finish. See less
