This stunning vintage piece was purchased in Singapore and has had only one owner. A large (and heavy) Chinese fish bowl decorated with stylized roses and gold detail. Comes with its original wooden stand.
Originally, noble families in China used these large porcelain bowls to house and protect pond goldfish during cold winters. Today they are primarily used as decorative planters or cachepots, or displayed on their own as dramatic statement pieces.

Condition: This piece is in very good vintage condition. There is some slight fading on the rim (see photos), but otherwise minimal signs of use or wear. No cracks, breaks, damage or repairs. The wooden stand is also in very good vintage condition.
