Late 19th Century Central Asian Khotan Carpet with a tan background and patterned border.

The uncommon tan field of this Sinkiang Khotan long rug has two bold red and orange medallions edged in prominent hooks, with geometric floral sprays, small gul-like motives and , black and white triangular fret corners. Of the borders, a polychrome tuning fork minor is a particular standout on this c. 1890 carpet.
