Here the old ivory field of this circa 1900 west Anatolian carpet is decorated with a semi-detached all-over array of palmettes, leaves, lozenges, rosettes and miscellaneous devices. The three equally wide borders have variations on the rosette and angular undulating vine pattern. The colors are all age-mellowed with rust, light brown, pale orange and taupe important. See less
