A rare pair of antique Empire frames in carved and gilded wood, Rome, 18th century. Rectangular in shape, with three rows of carvings, borders, and ovoli, this pair of antique Roman frames is intended for graphic works, prints, or old master drawings, given its narrow 1 cm internal recess.

They measure 35.2 x 42.2 cm, with an internal opening of 25.2 x 33 cm. from a private collection, they are in good condition with minor restorations consistent with their 18th-century appearance and a loss of the frame near the gorget, as documented in the photo gallery.
