PARKER GAMAGE Maine, 1882-1960 Clipper ship in rough seas.
Signed lower right "Parker Gamage".
A masterful execution of Maritime Art. Maine produced the greatest American maritime artists like Winslow Homer. I love the stormy seas. Notice the sales are reefed and the wind blowing the tips of the waves off. Very realistic in every detail. So many great artists produced mater pieces of art in that era and there work when you can find them in good condition is affordable.
