Maison Lecan presents a neo-Renaissance desk in solid oak, circa 1900.
This antique piece of furniture perfectly illustrates the expertise of French cabinetmakers at the turn of the 20th century. Crafted from solid oak, it is distinguished by the strength of its turned baluster base, connected by a molded brace, and by the richness of the carved decoration beneath the entablature. The original central drawer, vertical moldings, and openwork consoles highlight an architectural design typical of the neo-Renaissance style.
Restored in our workshop, the top has regained all the nobility of oak, with a deep, satiny patina that reveals a warm grain.
