This piece features … Read more A tall and striking ceramic pitcher from the Seta (“silk”) series, designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi. This piece features a conical form with a gilt handle and a flared, scalloped mouth, decorated in alternating bands of deep amethyst purple, ivory, and metallic gold with textured incising. The Seta series, introduced in the 1950s–60s, is prized for its refined detailing and shimmering woven-silk effect, which was achieved through Londi’s distinctive sgraffito technique.

An exceptional example of midcentury Italian ceramics, this pitcher works beautifully as a standalone decorative object, grouped with other Bitossi, or used as a statement vase.
