The solid brass … Read more A fine quality Vintage Councill Executive Desk with a richly restored top and beautifully banded drawer area. The solid brass pulls are original to the drawers of the Vintage Councill Executive Desk, while the interiors of the drawers are created from the highest quality hardwoods and the drawers are dovetailed both front and back. With seven standard drawers each with a great interior depth as well as two pullout trays for extra workspace this desk is both decorative and functional. It is built using a one part construction method, the top and two pedestals being permanently connected and still solid after decades of use. Great quality construction throughout the desk shines through even after many years of use. The reverse side is as handsome as the user side and boasts a very desirable privacy panel. The sides of the desk have brass portals to allow passage of electronic cables and the large filing drawers can hold numerous files.

This desk has undergone a “sympathetic restoration” by a conservator with over forty years of experience. He has left the character imbued in the item from its’ previous owner while reviving the color and overall appeal of the desk.

As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there are signs of use but overall this item is in great overall condition.

Kneehole is approximately 28 inches wide and 24 inches high.
