The chairs are very architectural with a soft curved open back and elliptical legs which look broad from one angle and slim from another. The legs are inserted directly into the seat with a large Tenon and have glides. The double-caned seat offers additional strength and is compatible with the overall pleasing visual lightness of the chair. The chairs were handmade in Italy in January 2025 and delivered April 2025 to a project site in California. On the inside bottom of each chair there is a stamp with the date (01 25), Made in Italy, and name of Bassam Fellows. Each chair has an authentication/quality inspection card. The wood is a raw oak effect with a natural and organic tone. The chairs are high quality, excellent construction, and will take on a beautiful patina over time. The chairs are in excellent condition and never used. There are no spots, stains, tears, or any other blemishes from use - the imperfections, if any, are due to the natural materials and handmade nature of the chair.
