2024 Currey & Company matte ceramic lamp in the form of a little boy with a combo of post modern and punk rock appearance. He looks mischievous and yet decidedly sweet with his ‘Love’ t-shirt and horseshoe eye. The ceramic appears to be artisan made and it is mounted to a raw wood block. The lightbulb socket is set asymmetrically and fits a candelabra size bulb up to 25 watts. The white linen shade rests on top of the socket. It is wired with an inline switch and everything works well. Definitely not task lighting but perfect for a bathroom, shelf or a little nook that needs a touch of whimsy. The ceramic surface shows a little soiling as shown in photographs 13 and 14 but other than that it is in good shape…no cracks, chips or repairs. The wiring is in perfect condition and everything works well. The shade sits on top of the socket and wobbles a little bit if touched…I might consider replacing it with a clip on.
The lamp without shade attached measures 12” tall to the top of the socket x 5” wide including the socket x 3.25” deep. The lamp with shade measures 15.5” tall x 7.75” wide x 6.25” deep. The wood cube base measures 3.88” wide x 3” deep x 2.25” tall.
