This beautiful marriage of this early 20th century shade and base is nothing short of exquisite! The shade is NOT reverse painted, as it seems. The scene painted on the shade is full of deep, contrasting colors depicting 3 whimsical images of a peninsula. The stunning shade hangs over a double cluster of two Hubbel sockets with acorn finials hanging from the chains. The base is made of cast iron and has a complex, intricate design of wavy lines throughout. The dark greenish patina not only pairs well with the shade, but shows the finely aged condition of this lamp. This piece is full of character and charm, and just waiting to become the next wonderful conversation piece in your home!
