Portrait of Queen Marie Leszczynska, Wife of Louis XV, oil on canvas, 18th century Oil on canvas depicting Marie Leszczynska, Queen of France and wife of Louis XV, dressed in a luxurious burgundy brocade dress with gold embroidery, jewels, and a blue mantle lined with ermine. In her hand, she holds a royal crown, a symbol of her rank, and wears pearl and diamond jewelry, following the iconographic models of official court portraits. The work presents good pictorial quality, with attention to detail in the fabrics and the richness of the ornamentation. It is framed in a period gilt frame.
