Tom Shiner, FAIA, designed the M&LF® MONTICELLO bench for the visitor center at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. The benches are now in use in museums around the country. The benches comfortably seat three. They are known for their style-neutral design and contoured seat, created to cradle the human form. This particular bench, made of solid American elm with a black ebonized finish, has been exhibited at museum trade shows. It is in perfect condition.
Shiner studied furniture design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen and founded the company MUSEUM & LIBRARY FURNITURE.
