An elegant Japanese lacquer wall panel featuring a detailed raised relief of chrysanthemums, foliage, and a small bird in flight. The design is hand-carved from bone or bone-composite material, delicately inlaid and lacquered in high relief. The floral and avian motifs are highlighted in ivory and gold tones, framed within a shaped black lacquer field bordered by a warm, reddish-brown lacquer ground softly decorated with camellia blossoms. Signed with an impressed red seal mark (shown in photos), this piece reflects the refined aesthetic of Japanese maki-e and carved lacquer traditions. The back is also beautifully finished with a tonal tree and bird design, a mark of high-quality craftsmanship intended for fine interiors. Ready to hang.
