A rare antique copper and wood hand-press sausage stuffer, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century. Crafted from heavy-gauge copper with hand-soldered seams and rolled reinforcement bands, this piece features an ingenious twist-lock nozzle system—a more advanced design than the simpler presses of the period.
The turned wood plunger is a single solid piece with a decorative burn line grip, showing expected working wear at the end from use. The barrel retains its original patina, with traces of verdigris and light hammer marks, all attesting to its authentic, hand-made origins.
An uncommon variation—these early stuffers are usually found in tin or iron, not copper. Fully intact, with all parts functional and well-fitted.
