Evans created original raku art pottery with wonderful textures, glazes, and colors from his studio in Northern California beginning in the 1970s. Practicing this ancient technique, he would fire his pieces in a 2,000 degree oven, remove and inspect the molten glaze, and then plunge the piece into a paper lined trash can, thus creating the broken eggshell of multi-hued luster.
