The Thomas Series Vase is like is flexible, reliable and resilient. The high-quality porcelain made in Germany knows how to impress and decorates the festive table just as skillfully as the morning dining table. No wonder, as the timeless design of this everyday companion unquestioningly combines a soft silhouette/shaping with clear functionality. Deliberately designed with thick walls and are therefore specially designed. This makes effortlessly meet high demands on durability and design. The solid porcelain vase is reminiscent of contemporary ceramic shapes, but, at the same time, its flowing lines give it a modern, fresh look.
Fritz Thomas founded 'Porzellanfabrik Thomas & Ens' in Marktredwitz, Germany in 1904. His partner Ens was primarily an investor and left the day-to-day running of the business with Thomas.
In 1908 Ens left the company which enabled Rosenthal to become the major shareholder. 'Porzellanfabrik Thomas' operated as an independent subsidiary of Rosenthal. New Old Stock
In 1959/60 porcelain production was transferred to a new site in Speichersdorf (Upper Franconia) when lack of space became an issue. The Marktredwitz factory continued to be used for the production of technical ceramics.
