The soft jade-green glaze highlights the intricate raised patterning and fluid form, creating a graceful silhouette reminiscent of classic Chinese artistry. The underside bears an apocryphal Qianlong reign mark (大清乾隆年制, “Made during the Qianlong reign of the Great Qing Dynasty”), added as an homage to the celebrated 18th-century imperial kilns. Though not of that period, this piece reflects the refined artistry and celadon glazing traditions that flourished under Qianlong’s patronage, recreated here with mid-20th-century craftsmanship and elegance.
