Original signed woven textile artwork by Richard Landis (American, b. 1931), one of the most disciplined and conceptually focused fiber artists of the late 20th century. Landis transformed weaving into a precise visual language built on geometry, tonal harmony, and structural rhythm rather than expressive gesture.
This piece reflects his signature approach, featuring a grid of interlocking rectangles in warm earth tones woven with exceptional control and balance. The work remains in its original aluminum frame with mat and is signed “Richard Landis” on the reverse.
