An 18th century Italian Louis XV style center table or console from Torino. Bold design made from thick planks of solid walnut with ebonized trim and finished an all for sides so that it may be free-floated in a room. Curved cabriole legs with carved details and large apron with inlaid decoration. Deep dovetailed drawer with brass knobs and escutcheon, working lock but no key. Top has curved corners and inlaid checkerboard. Nice game table for a library or study. Minor restoration on legs and top. Circa 1760-1780
