Early 20th Century Turkish Oushak Rug ( 3'3" x 7'3" - 99 x 221 )
Not every Oushak is room sized. This snappy little rug with an imaginative segment of the harshang pattern on an attractively variegated sapphire blue ground is uncommon among these west Turkish weavings. The red main border has Persian roots in Afshar and Ferahan village rugs. The condition is excellent for this circa 1900 Oushak scatter rug.
