An absolutely stellar, classic Danish teak sideboard/credenza designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen, manufactured by Faarup Møbelfabrik, circa 1960. Made in Denmark, this stunning piece, Model FA 66, features beautiful teak wood grain and sleek Danish design. Four drawers rest above four double-door cabinets, all of equal width. Three cabinets open to reveal identical compartments with adjustable shelves, offering ample storage space. The fourth cabinet opens to expose five felt-lined drawers that slide seamlessly, perfect for protecting silverware or other delicate items. The length of this spectacular sideboard/credenza extends beyond the elegantly curved base and tapered legs, creating a floating effect. Precisely crafted in exceptional teak grain wood, with a fully finished back and teak interior. The finished back side makes this credenza ideal for placement in an open floor plan, making it a great focal point. Makers label (FAARUP MOBELFABRIK made in Denmark, design: Ib Kofod Larsen) on finished back, only adding to the value and collectivity of this piece. Highly sought after, this versatile and functional piece will lend a touch of sophistication and style to any room setting, entryway or office.

About the Designer & Manufacturer
In 1948, Kofod-Larsen received an award at the Danish Cabinetmakers Guild competition, which brought him to the attention of Faarup Møbelfabrik, one of Denmark’s leading furniture manufacturers. This partnership would lead to some of Kofod-Larsen’s more beautiful works; most notable the ‘Model 66’ sideboard produced by Faarup in the 1950’s.
