This is an extraordinary offering: a powerful pair of nearly live-size Indian ceremonial wood horses, each a true sculptural masterpiece. Likely used in temple processions (Rath Yatra) across Rajasthan or Northern India and dating to the Mid 20th century, these statues served as(vehicles) for deities, embodying power, speed, and divine journey. The hand-carved forms are richly detailed, now wearing a deeply distressed white/gray finish with beautiful remnants of original blue-green ceremonial paint. Due to their large size and heavy weight, these Indian sculptures require special care and assistance at delivery.
