This is called, Day After The Last Day by J. Stancin and it was done in the period of the "atomic bomb" scare that everyone lived under in the 1960s. It is beautifully dark and morose, but a perfect reminder of the fear that pervaded the post-WWII decades. This was passed down to me from an uncle who had served in combat in WWII. The edges of the canvas are painted white so as to hang without a frame if you choose. See less
