The Cocoon material provides diffused, atmospheric light. At the same time, the symmetrical lamp body presents itself as an impressive luminous object in the room. The manufacturer Goldkant is known for various Cocoon lamp designs from the 1960s and 1970s. Many Goldkant designs are often attributed to Castiglioni due to the similarity of the patterns and shapes used.
