The lamp base has an organic, asymmetrical shape typical of Scandinavian design of that period, which was often inspired by nature and fluid forms. It is made of mouth-blown art glass in a deep navy blue color, interwoven with subtle, lighter reflections that play beautifully with the light and give the object a sense of movement and lightness.

At the top of the base is a brass collar that introduces a material contrast – the warm sheen of the metal harmonizes with the cool glass, while adding a sophisticated, luxurious character to the lamp.
