Italian travertine is shaped into soft undulating contours and an organic, cloud-like form in these 1970s scalloped-edge pedestal end tables. Each features a generously scaled 27.75-inch top. The stone displays gentle tonal variations, delicate veining, and a soft natural surface that captures and diffuses light.
Resting on octagonal bases, the tables stand 17 inches tall. Their low profile sits comfortably beside seating while still carrying enough presence to anchor a room.
The natural veining and texture vary slightly between the two pieces, as expected with solid stone, bringing rich character to transitional, contemporary, and organic modern interiors.
Ideal as sofa companions, reading nook accents, or elegant bedside tables, these authentic Italian modernist pieces offer both functional versatility and enduring character.

The travertine surfaces display a natural patina with light surface wear, minor scratches, open pores, and subtle etching consistent with age and the inherent characteristics of authentic travertine. No major chips, cracks, or stains are present. The tables are structurally sound, stable, and ready for immediate use. Please refer to Photo #16: Two small scuff marks on the surface of the tabletop. Please refer to Photos #17-18: Each tabletop originally had four wooden centering blocks glued to the underside to help align the top with the pedestal base. Several blocks were detached or missing upon receipt from previous owner. They have since been securely reattached using a stronger, more appropriate adhesive. less
