KPM (Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur or Royal Porcelain Factory in Berlin, Germany) porcelain cup and saucer. Saucer reads "Froh erwache jeden morgen" in German, translating to "Wake Up Happy Every Morning". Both pieces are beautifully hand painted in colorful ornate flowers accented by gold gilt lattice. Hallmarks show it is dated 1844-1847.
Cup measures 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/8" tall
Saucer measures 6 1/4"
Both are in excellent condition, especially considering their age and fragility, no chips, cracks, or repairs. Light surface scratching.
