This vessel sink is made from a gorgeous block of pink Italian marble. It is rough on the sides which highlights the raw beauty of the fixture itself. It does not have faucet holes drilled into it, so a wall mounted faucet would likely be the best option. There are slight superficial cracks in the basin from drilling a drainage hole into it, but they barely go beyond the surface. Given the thickness of the stone, there is not any concern for the crack spreading or causing leaks.
It is mounted on a sturdy iron base, keeping the overall aesthetic simple, minimalistic, and again highlighting the natural beauty of the stone. This is a very heavy sink; it weighs no less than 300lbs.
