Fabulous MCM Richard McCarthy cast iron table, circa 1960's. Table has laminate top. cast iron and oak bottom and extension leaf with matching laminate. See photos of top with and without leaf. 28”H x 36”W x 60”L (with leaf inserted, 47.5" without). Please note there is some separation at table seam. Otherwise set in great condition.
Lot also includes 4 armed matching chairs: two with electric blue seats and two with black seats. 33"H x 24"W (at arms widest) x 16"D. Chairs are cast iron and oak and are in excellent condition. See photo for slight scratch on one arm.
No maker's marks are present, but items match research.
Richard McCarthy was a notable figure in the world of furniture design, particularly recognized for his contributions in the 1960’s. Modern yet functional design characterized both the era and his work.
