This is a rare, out of print, uniquely designed exhibition catalogue published by the Museum of Modern Art, NY, NY for an exhibit formulated in 1968 about the development of mechanical apparatus. 1st Edition.
The catalogue binding is made of embossed metal covers with lithographic imagery. The spine is riveted. There are 218 pages. The description and the images provide an interesting journey through the mechanical developement of machinery. The catalogue design is by K. G. Pontus Hulten, John Melin and Gosta Svenssen.
A rare and unique work of art in its own right.
The catalogue measures 8.5" w x 9.75" h x 1" thick. Condition is good, there is some yellowing to the pages and minor surface wear to the metal covers.
