The table features an ingenious extending parquetry segmented … Read more Handsome Castle Bromwich Sylvan round mahogany dining table hand-crafted by Theodore Alexander. The table features an ingenious extending parquetry segmented round circular top with self-storing hidden fold out leaves that extends from a 62.5 inch diameter to a 78 inch diameter table. Made in the country English traditional rustic style with an intentionally distressed aged patina to mimic the style and finish of a 17th century Stuart table in the Baroque taste. The top is supported by four large baluster turned legs conjoined by a large X form stretcher ending with wide scrolled shoe feet. Very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table is signed with a maker's plaque from Theodore Alexander's Castle Browmich Collection. Ample leg room measuring 25.5 inches from the floor to the apron. From an estate in Santa Barbara, California.
