Etching, burnished aquatint, drypoint, and engraving. Image dimension: 245 x 352 mm. Sheet dimension 330 x 475 mm. Numbered "19" at top right. Nineteenth plate from the tauromachia series, first published by goya in 1816 in thirty-three plates, to which seven more were added in the third edition (edited in 1876 by loizelet), labeled a to g and initially rejected by the author, bringing the total number of engravings in the series to forty. A magnificent impression from the third edition of seven, published in 1876 by loizelet, on thin laid paper with partial "arches" watermark. Prov. Charles deering collection (mark of the charles deering collection -lugt, 516- on the lower verso) ref. Harris, 222. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
