Gorgeous golden … Read more This custom-made sideboard has been in a single family for six generations, dating back to 1880s Chicago, IL. Gorgeous golden tiger oak, cottage-style, in excellent vintage condition.
Original owner was a well-respected lawyer and prominent state politician in 1880s Chicago.

Sideboard having an oblong bevel-molded top above two over three Eastlake-style scratch-carved and panel-molded drawers over a single panel-molded and carved door flanked by carved and paneled drawers and pilasters, all above a plain channel-molded base.

Below the base molding, original double-wheel wooden casters are hidden from view but facilitate moving.

Upper right drawer is sectioned and lined with silver cloth for storage.
Two upper drawers about 25w x 17d x 4 1/2h inches (interior dimensions)
Center drawer about 20 1/2w x 16 1/2d x 4 1/2h inches
2 side drawers about 16 1/2w x 14d x 4 1/2h inches
6 side drawers about 15 1/2w x 14d x 5h inches
Center door compartment with single shelf about 21 1/2w x 17d x 19h

Top two drawers, center drawer and door have locks (keys included). Lock on door works, but lock cover plate needs to be reattached. Locks in all three drawers need cleaning. I have not attempted to force them, but they do not presently turn. Two different keys included.

Well maintained, last full French polish in 2005.
